Summary:

Isha Foundation is seeking a passionate and experienced Bharatnatyam Teacher to join their Teaching & Training department. This full-time, permanent position involves teaching Bharatnatyam to students from Grade 2 to Grade 12, developing engaging lesson plans, and fostering a positive learning environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Bharatnatyam, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to student growth.

Key Responsibilities

<ul>
 <li>Teach Bharatnatyam classes to students from Grade 2 to Grade 12.</li>
 <li>Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student learning and appreciation for the art form.</li>
 <li>Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to improve their understanding of Bharatnatyam concepts.</li>
 <li>Collaborate with other teachers to develop and implement curriculum enhancements.</li>
 <li>Participate in staff meetings and contribute to the development of the school's cultural programs.</li>
 <li>Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and growth.</li>
</ul>

Qualifications / Requirements

<ul>
 <li>Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching Bharatnatyam or a related field.</li>
 <li>Strong knowledge of Bharatnatyam concepts, techniques, and principles.</li>
 <li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with students, parents, and colleagues.</li>
 <li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals.</li>
 <li>Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.</li>
 <li>Any Graduate degree is preferred.</li>
</ul>

Preferred Skills / Attributes

<ul>
 <li>Experience in tutoring or coaching students in Bharatnatyam.</li>
 <li>Strong communication and presentation skills.</li>
 <li>Ability to incorporate professional development practices into teaching.</li>
 <li>Experience in lecturer activities.</li>
 <li>Passion for the arts and a commitment to student success.</li>
