Cyber Security Analyst

Summary:

Globalstep is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our IT & Information Security department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting end-to-end security investigations, analyzing security alerts, and responding to incidents within our gaming environment. This full-time, permanent position requires a proactive individual with strong analytical skills and experience in SIEM platforms and incident response.

Key Responsibilities

<ul>
 <li>Perform end-to-end security investigations and incident analysis.</li>
 <li>Conduct complete phishing email analysis including header analysis, IOC extraction, URL/domain validation, and remediation recommendations.</li>
 <li>Monitor and investigate security alerts using SIEM platforms.</li>
 <li>Analyze logs, suspicious activities, and security events using Splunk and other monitoring tools.</li>
 <li>Work on email security incidents and investigations using Mimecast.</li>
 <li>Investigate alerts and incidents in Cortex XSIAM / Palo Alto environments.</li>
 <li>Use sandbox solutions such as AnyRun or ThreatZone for malware and file analysis.</li>
 <li>Follow security incident management and escalation processes.</li>
 <li>Perform basic threat hunting and IOC-based investigations.</li>
 <li>Collaborate with internal teams for incident resolution and reporting.</li>
 <li>Maintain investigation documentation and ticket updates in ticketing systems.</li>
</ul>

Qualifications / Requirements

<ul>
 <li>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.</li>
 <li>4-9 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on incident response and security analysis.</li>
 <li>Proven experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk), incident response, and EDR tools.</li>
 <li>Strong understanding of network security, TCP/IP protocols, and DNS.</li>
 <li>Experience with phishing email analysis and malware analysis.</li>
 <li>Familiarity with cloud security concepts.</li>
</ul>

Preferred Skills / Attributes

<ul>
 <li>Experience with threat hunting activities.</li>
 <li>Knowledge of malware behavior analysis.</li>
 <li>Experience handling real-time SOC alerts and escalations.</li>
 <li>Understanding of endpoint or network security concepts.</li>
 <li>Experience with Crowdstrike.</li>
